Or Shani and Tomer Naveh each bring 16 years of experience in AI and machine learning, alongside the team of veteran experts they assembled at Jigso, to help drive the expansion of Placer.ai’s AI capabilities.
TEL AVIV, Israel, and LOS ALTOS, Calif., October 29, 2026—Placer.ai today announced that Or Shani and Tomer Naveh, co-founders of Jigso, are joining the company alongside the experienced AI specialists they assembled at Jigso. They will work closely with Placer.ai's established AI teams and leadership, bringing additional expertise to the company's ongoing AI development efforts and helping accelerate initiatives already underway.
AI has been a core part of Placer.ai's technology strategy for years, with the company significantly expanding its investments in AI development, talent and capabilities in recent years. These efforts are supported by established teams working to bring increasingly sophisticated intelligence to the platform and help customers unlock greater value from Placer.ai's proprietary data. The addition of Shani, Naveh and their colleagues builds on this strong foundation, bringing complementary expertise and additional capacity to accelerate existing initiatives.
More than 5,000 organizations, including many in the Fortune 500, rely on Placer.ai's proprietary data to understand how the physical world behaves. Building on its existing AI capabilities, Placer.ai is continuing to advance its vision of proactive intelligence: insights delivered as they emerge, anomalies flagged in real time and recommendations that help customers move from data to decisions faster.
Shani and Naveh are among Israel’s most experienced AI founders. Their first company, Albert.ai, was one of the first autonomous AI platforms for advertising; they took it public and later sold it. At Jigso, they brought together some of the most experienced AI and machine learning talent in the industry to build an AI organizational platform that went beyond querying data. The platform reasoned over business signals to surface insights, detect anomalies and take action.
“Our ambition was never to be just an analytics platform,” said Noam Ben-Zvi, CEO and co-founder of Placer.ai. “We sit on one of the most unique datasets in the world, and AI is how we unlock its full value. We've been investing heavily in AI for years, building an exceptional team and developing capabilities that are already shaping the future of our platform. Or and Tomer have been building real-world AI for 16 years, and they've surrounded themselves with outstanding talent. Their experience and expertise will be a tremendous addition to the team we've built and the work already underway. Bringing together our proprietary data, our existing AI expertise and these exceptional new colleagues puts us in an even stronger position to deliver on our vision. And we're just getting started.”
“Great AI needs great, unique data, and Placer.ai has it,” said Or Shani, co-founder of Jigso, who will help advance the company’s AI initiatives. “This is the best team I’ve ever worked with, and when we considered where we could make the biggest impact together, the answer was clear. The combination of proprietary data, an extensive customer base and a strong commitment to AI creates an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
